The Vision is a student-run publication founded in 1989 at the University of Pennsylvania as a vehicle through which black students on campus could voice their ideas, opinions, and concerns and also as a venue through which they could express and negotiate their differences as well as their interconnectedness. Today, The Vision carries on this rich legacy of dedication to the black diasporic community, both on campus and worldwide, and seeks to enrich and empower its readers by providing insight into black diasporic experiences at the University of Pennsylvania. We seek to keep our readers abreast of events within and affecting Penn’s black community, and encourage black student unity, leadership, and involvement.
